Sweet Korean lentils

1 onion, chopped

3 cups water
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon garlic
1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 cup red lentils
1 bunch green onions, chopped

Sauté onion in a little water in large frying pan. Add next group of ingredients. Add lentils. Simmer about 15 minutes, until liquid is absorbed. Add green onions.

Serves 6
